The Town
A town designed around daily life
Babcock Ranch was planned from the start to be a complete town, not just a subdivision. It is the nation's first solar-powered town, with community-scale solar farms feeding the shared grid, and its infrastructure was engineered for hurricane resilience. The result feels calm: wide streets, miles of trails, preserved land all around, and the everyday needs of life a short drive from your front door.
Most of the housing here is new construction, and the growing number of neighborhoods means buyers have real choices rather than a single model lineup:
Regency
Toll Brothers
The town's gated 55+ community, with single-family and villa homes and resort-style amenities.
Explore RegencyTerraWalk
Divosta
Gated single-family homes and villas by Divosta in a lakeside setting with preserve views.
Lake Timber
New construction
The town's founding neighborhood, with single-family homes and townhomes set along the lakes near the Downtown District.
Crescent Lakes
New construction
A gated neighborhood of energy-efficient single-family homes with lake and preserve views.
Each neighborhood has its own builder, floor plans, and price points, so the right fit depends on the life you are planning. See the full Babcock Ranch overview for build timelines and community details, or start with the Buying Guide if you are new to new construction.
The Shops at Yellow Pine
Everyday life, close by
Across the parkway from Crescent B Commons, the Shops at Yellow Pine is the newest of the town's retail centers. It is where residents grab lunch, stock up, and handle the small errands that fill a week. Here is a look at what is actually there, walking the sidewalk.

One parking lot covers most of the weekly list: groceries with a drive-thru pharmacy, coffee with a drive-thru lane, and services like nails, vision, packing and shipping, and a local animal hospital.

An honest note
A different kind of Southwest Florida
A note on the coast: Babcock Ranch sits inland, and that is part of its appeal, a quiet, planned community with nature preserves and lakes. When you want the Gulf, Sanibel and Captiva are a scenic drive away, and Fort Myers Beach is closer still. You get the calm of everyday life here and the coast whenever you want it.
For relocating and next-chapter buyers, including those considering downsizing, that trade is often exactly right: a calm, safe, walkable town with the coast close enough for a day trip. For buyers who want to hear the Gulf from the lanai, it is the wrong fit. Knowing the difference is part of what Larissa does for her clients.
